What up Joe...If you download the zip file for "ShatteredDreams" you will find the Photoshop file and once u open it you will see a folder named "Overlays" and the effect is basically a picture overlayed over the fonts and blended using "Linear Dodge (Add)". And of course some other effects too but simple for the most part.
